ThemeScapes
Architectural Paving

ThemeScapes ownership has focused on a variety of decorative
paving techniques since 1971. They have sold, installed, supervised
and developed millions of square feet of colored and textured
concrete.
There are many options for both new and old concrete floors.
Some of the options for decorative concrete include:
Colored and Patterned Concrete : Colors
are applied to the concrete and almost any color is possible.
Patterns simulate stone, brick, tile, wood boards, natural
soil and just about any color and texture imaginable. This
system requires a minimum of one and a half inches of thickness
and is most often installed on grade four to six inches thick.
Polymer Overlaid Thin-set Concrete Topping :
There are a variety of self-leveling or trowel applied
cement grout topping products available. Color can be added
to the mix and it is possible to emboss texture or create graphic
designs. These materials are typically between 1/16 of
an inch and 1/4 of an inch thick.
Acid Stained and Sealed Concrete : Acid
stain is a permanent way to change the surface color of hard
and cured concrete without applying a coating. The color
options are limited and color imprinting is irregular. There
are a number of special effects possible:
- Layered sand blasted stenciled designs or graphics
- Mottled stone coloring
- Simulated tile patterns
- Border coloring and patterning
